Dixie Dominus Jazz Band plays "Ice Cream"
Over the years we have sponsored young musicians who would benefit from attending these jazz camps or festivals, if they had funding to do so:
- The Sacramento Youth Trad Jazz Festival
- The Teagarden Jazz Camp operated by the Sacramento Traditional Jazz Society.
- The A.F.C.D.J.S. (America's Finest City Dixieland Jazz Society) and their Adult Traditional Jazz Camp (for adults over age 18).
In August 2016 we provided full scholarship for two young musicians to the Teagarden Jazz Camp. Trombonist Karen Cruz and banjoist Vincent Arganza were members of the high school band "Dixie Dominus." Some will remember them when they played a set for the SBTJS in March of 2015.

Clarinetist Rebecca Rodriquez (second from right) attended the 2015 Mammoth Jazz Camp on a scholarship from SBTJS.
